Job Description
Title: Med-Surg RN

Schedule:
- Nights
- Shift options: 36 or 48-hour options
- Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period

Requirements:
- Minimum: 1 year recent Med-Surg nursing experience
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: CPI
- Charting: Epic
- Skills: IV starts/maintenance, peripheral/PICC/central line care, wound care/Wound VAC, chest tube care, feeding tube care, oxygen/HFNC/non-invasive airway support, PCA/insulin/heparin medication administration, basic phlebotomy, pre/post hemodialysis support, blood product administration
- License: Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care to adults and geriatrics in a medical-surgical setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Pre-approved time off: one per contract
- COVID-19 and flu vaccine status: Unknown
- Post-contract requirement: traveler may be required to complete lab/compliance items within 48 business hours of contract signing
