Fleet Maintenance Manager - 1st Shift

Lead a high-performing maintenance team and keep our fleet running safely, reliably, and efficiently. As the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee all fleet maintenance, preventive maintenance, diesel repair, shop operations, and facility upkeep. You'll drive safety, quality, productivity, and team development while ensuring our buses stay road-ready and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Operations Oversight Prioritize repairs, PM schedules, and service demands to keep buses safe, clean, and on time.
• Maintenance & Repair Management Coordinate inspections, diagnostics, bodywork, cleaning, and all mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Team Leadership Train, mentor, coach, and develop technicians; reward strong performance.
• Safety Compliance Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; eliminate hazards; ensure proper tools and equipment are available.
• Quality Control Perform QC checks on all vehicles and repairs.
• Reporting & KPIs Track performance indicators and generate operational reports.
• Cross-Functional Support Support building maintenance, shop operations, and other assigned duties.

Essential Skills

• Diesel Maintenance Expertise Strong hands-on experience with buses, trucks, or heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
• Fleet Management Experience 3+ years in fleet maintenance leadership or operations.
• Technical Knowledge Diesel engines, electrical systems, transmissions, PM programs, and repair processes.
• Team Management Ability to coach, train, and lead mechanics.
• Systems Proficiency MS Office and fleet management software.
• Problem-Solving Strong decision-making in fast-moving operational environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
