This position reports directly to the Plant Facilities Director.Key Responsibilities:· Support and improve chemical handling systems and facility infrastructure.· Identify, assess, and mitigate chemical and process-related risks.· Gather and analyze data, blueprints, and technical reports.· Determine facility and equipment specifications based on operational needs.· Analyze project costs and assist in preparing and managing budgets.· Design and oversee facility expansions, layouts, and system implementations.· Evaluate operational systems and infrastructure to improve efficiency and reliability.· Develop processing plans and optimize resource allocation.· Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules.· Oversee and coordinate contractors performing maintenance and project work.· Ensure compliance with regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.· Prepare reports, documentation, and compliance records.· Review and optimize preventive maintenance programs within CMMS.· Manage asset documentation and engineering records.· Troubleshoot plant utility systems and recommend improvements.· Develop technical specifications for projects and equipment.· Assist in developing annual, 5-year, and 10-year infrastructure plans.· Monitor current processes and recommend continuous improvements.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).· 5–10 years of experience in a Facilities Engineer or similar role.· Strong background in chemical processes and systems.· Hands-on experience working with hazardous chemicals and chemical handling systems.· Experience in industrial environments such as chemical manufacturing, industrial gases, solar manufacturing, or paper/pulp processing.· Strong knowledge of building systems, construction principles, and applicable codes.· Working knowledge of HVAC, fire suppression, and high-voltage systems.· Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and CMMS platforms.· Proven project management experience from concept through completion.· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.Traits for Success:· Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence without direct authority.· Self-starter who can take initiative and independently drive projects forward.· Change agent mindset with a passion for implementing process improvements.· Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.· High attention to detail, precision, and follow-through.· Resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented.· Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.· Ability to manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and timeline.What We Offer:· Salary range: $100,000 – $140,000 annually, depending on experience.· Paid time off (vacation, sick, and holidays).· Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans.· Employee Assistance Program.· Tuition reimbursement program.· Employee recognition programs.· Employee product purchase program.· Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.At Legacy Talent Search, we are more than just a staffing agency.
