Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Danville, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Rotating weekends and as needed)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in an Emergency Department (ED). If you possess both ED and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience, you will also be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room setting.
• Assess, triage, and treat patients of all ages, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the care process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all nursing actions and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications.
• Experience with the EHR systems MedHost and Meditech is preferred.
