Attorney Position at Kaufman DolowichThe Philadelphia office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing civil defense litigation team.This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and commercial litigation matters.The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 5 years of experience. This position provides an opportunity to practice at a firm with a national reach and handle interesting cases from pre-suit through appeal.ResponsibilitiesHandle all phases of professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, breach of contracts, and other litigation-related documentsConduct legal research, assist with litigation strategy, and case analysisManage discovery, prepare for, and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparationCommunicate directly with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and witnesses while providing regular case updates and strategic guidanceCollaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation mattersAssist with and/or handle insurance coverage matters as opportunities ariseProvide proactive case management and client reportingQualificationsAdmission to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey required, admission to Federal Courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey preferred4 to 5 years of professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and/or commercial litigation experienceStrong writing, research, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environmentStrong organizational, case management, and interpersonal skillsPreferred ExperienceProfessional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and/or commercial litigationInsurance coverage litigationExperience handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearancesExperience managing matters independentlyWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesMeaningful client contact and hands-on litigation experienceWe offer flexible work arrangements, including fully remote and hybrid options.
