Infusion Nurse

The role involves administering therapies, managing patient care, and supporting clinical research activities in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities: Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and investigational agents to participants in accordance with protocols and regulations. Perform venipuncture, IV insertion, central line management, ECG collection, and vital sign monitoring as part of study-related activities. Collect and process biological samples following protocol and standard operating procedures. Educate and inform participants about study procedures and ensure clear communication regarding their care. Accurately record and document data and observations in compliance with protocols and procedures. Monitor participant well-being, assess for adverse events, and take appropriate action as needed. Respond promptly to emergency situations using established nursing standards and protocols. Provide comprehensive patient education on clinical trial participation, therapy administration, and potential side effects, prioritizing participant safety and dignity. Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas. High school diploma required. Basic Life Support certification required. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Proficiency in starting peripheral IVs and managing central lines. Experience with EMR systems. Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and frequent interruptions. Oncology and infusion experience preferred. Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate and/or ONC certificate preferred. EKG and research experience are advantageous. Ability to stand/walk for 80% of the time, with frequent lifting and bending. Strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and ability to balance care for multiple patients. Background in adult nursing and high-paced environments is a strong fit.
