We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkThe Dental Hygienist position is located at services to offenders at Southern Correctional Institution in Montgomery County, NC. Reporting to the Dentist. Position is responsible for performing the following duties under the general supervision of a licensed dentist:Examining teeth of patients and makes referrals to dentist, applies topical fluorides and performing dental prophylaxis in the prevention of dental diseases, Records findings and maintains records on dental status and services rendered to patients, Instructs patients on the proper care of teeth,Recommends measures for the prevention of dental diseases, assists the dentist in planning and carrying out dental health programs. This position may assist Dentists in other facilities, in the South-Central Region, as needed.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $61,177 - $91,767Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
