Senior Full Stack Java Developer (Level 4)

We are seeking a senior full-stack Java developer to design and build a business-critical web application that connects modern user experiences with reliable backend services and manufacturing or supply-chain data. The work is hands-on across Java, Spring, Angular, RxJS or React, APIs, and relational data.

The strongest candidate has delivered full-stack production features within the last two years, can make sound design decisions independently, and can write and explain code without relying on AI coding tools. Experience with data-heavy interfaces, Bills of Material, or manufacturing workflows is especially valuable.

Location: Remote within the United States; team aligned to Andover, Massachusetts

Schedule: First shift, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (5/40)

Work Setting: Remote

Role Type: Contract

Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months, with potential to extend based on performance and continued program needs

Contract Classification: All approved hours paid at the straight-time rate; no premium overtime

Pay Rate: $66.75-$78.25 per hour, depending on experience and client approval

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack features for a modern enterprise web application.
• Build backend services and business logic using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Develop responsive, data-intensive user interfaces using Angular and RxJS and/or React, with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs that connect user workflows, business rules, and relational data.
• Translate functional requirements into maintainable technical designs and production-quality code.
• Model, query, and troubleshoot application data; contribute to MariaDB or comparable SQL integrations.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance improvement.
• Work independently in a remote environment while communicating decisions, progress, and technical risks clearly.

Qualifications

• Recent full-stack software development experience within the last two years.
• Strong hands-on Java development experience.
• Production experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
• Hands-on front-end development with Angular plus RxJS and/or React.
• Ability to design a solution and write, test, and explain code without AI-tool assistance.
• Experience building or integrating RESTful APIs and modern web applications.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and independent design skills.
• U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• TypeScript and advanced JavaScript experience.
• AG Grid or comparable data-grid experience.
• MariaDB or closely related MySQL/SQL database experience.
• Experience with manufacturing, supply-chain, PLM, ERP, MES, inventory, or Bills of Material workflows.
• Experience building data-heavy enterprise applications for operational users.
