CNC Lathe Machinist: Montgomery, Illinois

Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting CNC Lathe Machinists to work full-time on 2nd shift, with initial training on 1st shift for a few weeks. As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC lathe machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Machinist:

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines according to work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, routing documents, and setup guidelines.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure specifications are met.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

CNC Lathe Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of machining practices and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
• Familiarity with G and M code; Mastercam experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must wear steel-toed shoes.

Pay for CNC Lathe Machinist: $19.00 – $29.00/hour, depending on experience.
