We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Laborer / Forklift Operator to join our team in Christiansburg, VA. This position combines forklift operation with physically demanding outdoor labor. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift and general labor experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment.

Position Expectations
This is not a forklift-only position . While operating a forklift is an important responsibility, the employee will also spend a significant portion of the workday performing hands-on, physically demanding yard labor. Candidates should be prepared to regularly transition between forklift operation and manual material-handling duties.

Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials throughout the yard.
- Perform general yard and manual labor duties as assigned.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and designated storage areas.
- Move, stack, and organize products and materials safely and efficiently.
- Regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 94 lbs. without difficulty .
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe yard and work area.
- Inspect the forklift and other equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow established safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
- Work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions.
- Assist coworkers with additional yard, material-handling, and labor duties as needed.
- Forklift operating experience is required.
- Previous general labor, yard, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Must be physically capable of lifting 94 lbs. without difficulty .
- Ability and willingness to perform strenuous manual labor throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Ability to safely follow instructions and established workplace procedures.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Steel-toe footwear is required.
