Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + benefits + discretionary bonus (20 - 40%)

Hybrid: In office 3 days per week

Role Responsibilities

• System Management: Monitor and manage AWS-focused systems and infrastructure.
• Platform Operations: Build and maintain a platform for cloud and on‑premise application provisioning and operation.
• Configuration and Maintenance: Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, software, and infrastructure tools.
• CI/CD Development: Develop a continuous integration and deployment platform integrated with development tools.
• Developer Experience: Enhance developer experience in cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
• Policy and Guidelines: Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and CI/CD processes.
• Automation: Implement workflow and toolchain improvements for task automation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a professional Platform Engineering role.
• Cloud Proficiency: Securely deploy and manage AWS applications, with cloud-native tooling and security best practices.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python.
• Docker Proficiency: Experience with Docker containerisation for software deployment and scalability.
• CI/CD Expertise: Automate software build, test, and deployment pipelines following agile methodologies.
• Terraform Exposure: Beneficial experience with Terraform.
• Observability Tools: Experience with Grafana and Splunk is beneficial, particularly in developing and applying an observability strategy across a large organisation.
