Acquisition Associate

The Role The Acquisition Associate plays a critical role in driving Strickland Brothers' growth strategy by identifying, sourcing, and supporting the acquisition of high-quality quick lube businesses across the United States. This individual will proactively engage independent operators, build long-term relationships, and position Strickland Brothers as the preferred buyer when owners are ready to exit. This role combines outbound business development, relationship management, CRM ownership, and financial evaluation. The Acquisition Associate will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and VP of Franchise Development to execute acquisition initiatives aligned with the company's expansion goals. What You'll Do: Deal Sourcing & Outreach
- Identify and research independently owned quick lube operators nationwide
- Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls and outreach campaigns
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets
- Develop relationships with owners to establish trust and long-term engagement
- Position Strickland Brothers as the "buyer of choice" in the market
- Cultivate ongoing communication with prospective sellers
- Track owner sentiment, timing, and readiness to sell
- Maintain consistent follow-up cadence to nurture leads over time
- Represent the company with professionalism and credibility in all interactions
- Own and manage the internal CRM database
- Accurately track outreach activity, conversations, and deal status
- Generate reports on pipeline health, outreach metrics, and opportunities
- Continuously refine data quality and segmentation
- Assist in underwriting potential acquisition opportunities
- Analyze financial statements and operational performance of target businesses
- Build and maintain basic financial models in Excel
- Support due diligence efforts alongside leadership
- Work closely with the Chief Development Officer and VP of Franchise Development
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on deal evaluation and execution
- Contribute insights from the field to inform acquisition strategy
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, acquisitions, or finance (preferred)
- Experience with cold calling and outbound prospecting (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in CRM systems a plus (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling concepts
