Job SummaryThe Accounts Receivable Specialist will receive and invoice payments for services rendered.Hours and WagesMonday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM$18.00-$20.00, per hour, based on experienceDuties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and send out daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly cycle countsRecord, store, and analyze information using accounting softwareReceive payments and post amount paid to customer accountsDebit, credit, and total customer accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting softwareResearch and answer inquiries or disputes about accounts for customersLocate and notify customers of delinquent accountsSubmit invoice data in shipper/third party payer required formatsReconcile and process credit card transactionsPerform other related duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesClerical or administrative experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAdvanced computer and keyboarding skillsProfessional telephone etiquette and customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEducation and ExperienceAt least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred1+ year of related experience preferredPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phoneMust be able to list up to 15 pounds at timesBenefitsHealth Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.EEO and Affirmative Action StatementSpee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
