Job Details Location: Kolpak LLC – Parsons, TN 38363 Shift: 1st Shift Category: Operations About the Company Kolpak LLC designs, manufactures and supplies commercial walk‑in coolers, freezers and refrigeration equipment for the global foodservice market. Position Summary The Director of Operations is responsible for strategic development and execution of the operations plan for the product line(s) and the management of Manufacturing, Materials, Scheduling, Shipping, Quality, and Safety functions. The role drives continuous improvement, process consistency and product quality while leading key personnel and resources. Key Responsibilities Engage and inspire the manufacturing team to develop and execute manufacturing strategies and vision. Identify and implement strategic improvements for production, quality and labor utilization. Provide leadership for effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment. Plan layout and coordinate activities to optimize safety, product quality, delivery, cost productivity and inventory management. Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality. Develop and control capital expenditure programs aligned with the strategic plan. Analyze operational reports to identify and correct deviations in schedules, costs and other metrics. Coordinate activities to optimize productivity, product quality, facility utilization, people utilization, inventory management and operating expenses. Delegate special assignments and projects related to manufacturing procedures, operations and manpower development. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety and operational efficiency. Manage materials, purchasing, quality, manufacturing engineering and shop operations functions. Plan and coordinate production line schedules, ensuring alignment with facility capabilities and customer requirements. Maintain cost structures within budget and investigate cost‑reduction measures. Create documentation protocols and ensure all operational records are properly maintained and reviewed. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Operations Management with minimum 12 years of plant operations experience, or a minimum of 16 years of experience if no degree. Experience managing a manufacturing operation of at least 100 employees, direct and indirect. Strong facilitator and negotiator with a big‑picture perspective. Excellent organizational and dynamic leadership skills, with mastery of continuous improvement and lean processes. Outstanding communication skills and ability to coach and mentor staff at all levels. High emotional intelligence for effective leadership and conflict management.
