Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging.
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, ensuring clarity and compassion in every interaction.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver a high standard of diagnostic imagery.
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly addressing any issues.
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic medical records system.
• Keep up to date with advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices.

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
