Health Care Nurse

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Registered Nurse, Infusion Clinic - Northwest Community Hospital - Infusion Center - 3060 W Salt Creek Ln, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Part Time | 24 hours/week. Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays. Required Travel: May float Niles Infusion Clinic. The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Responsibilities Develop a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes. Provide patient assessment and collect health data involving patient, family, and other health care providers. Communicate plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient’s wishes through acknowledgment of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Communicate patient data to physician and interdisciplinary team as indicated to achieve patient care needs. Document patient health data, interventions and communications. Provide teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care and drug information when appropriate. Identify community resources to support patient self‑management of disease. Interact with and contribute to professional development of peers, students and other health care providers as colleagues. Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, 02 therapy, and IV management. Participate in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Keep abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care through participation in professional networking, ongoing education, and self‑directed learning activities. Support staff in using research and providing evidence‑based care. If skilled, conduct daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care patients, monitoring effectiveness of treatment plans and other aspects of wound/ostomy care. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Nursing. 1 year oncology/infusion nursing experience (preferred). Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure.
