About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Location

New Brunswick, NJ | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend (Friday/Saturday)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood gas collection, ventilator initiation and management, BiPAP initiation and management, and high-flow therapy initiation and management
• Respond to codes and assist with in-house patient transport
• Administer medications and perform chest physiotherapy (Chest PT)
• Operate required equipment including Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP ventilators
• Float between Pediatric units and NICU based on facility needs; may also float to adult units on the main campus
• Complete documentation and charting using EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• PICU and NICU experience required
• Active New Jersey license required
• BLS required
• NBRC certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required (may be obtained onsite)
• Locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neonatal critical care and pediatric patient populations
• Familiarity with Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP equipment
• Prior travel therapy experience (first-time travelers are welcome)
