General Information Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 11
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 to 3:1
• Unit staffing description: Charge RN who attends deliveries and admissions and 2 staff RN's
• Type of equipment: Vapotherm, Avea Vent, Giraffes, Alaris IV pumps, Syringe Feeding Pumps
• Documentation system: CPN and Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3- 12-hour shifts/ week
• Floating policy: will not float outside of NICU
• Patient Experience requirements: Family centered care provided.

Hospital Specifics:

• Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE encouraged

Hiring profile Requested Skill Set:

• NICU Level 2 or higher experience
• Must have: Advanced skills needed: PIV insertion, NG placement and feedings, assisting with procedures, daily care of sick and preterm newborns, recognition of changes in newborn

Procedures performed on unit:

• PIV, UAC, UVC, PICC, Lumbar puncture, chest needling, chest tubes, surfactant administration, glucose monitoring

Certifications Required:

• NRP, STABLE encouraged.

Dress Code:

• Hot Pink Scrubs
