Position Overview Provides treatment services to adults and youth identified with behavioral health or substance use diagnosis. Completes assessment and treatment planning. Provides both individual and group therapy. Duties Performs clinical assessment and diagnosis Performs individual psychotherapy, addiction counseling, or family intervention Consultation and coordination of services with team members Treatment planning and staffing Manages caseload consisting of adults and youth with behavioral health and/or substance use diagnosis Completes documentation and adheres to regulatory requirements for provision of services Salary and Benefits Salary base equivalent to experience and education, with potential merit increases each year Health, dental, and eye insurance Agency-paid life insurance Option long‑term disability Agency-paid 401(k) with match 10 paid holidays 19 PTO days Free CEUs Supervision for licensure in group and individual formats for LCSW/LCPC Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling; and currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in social work, psychology, marriage and family or counseling Preferred: Minimum master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or marriage and family therapy and experience in addictions treatment Preferred: State of Illinois licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Preferred knowledge/experience with dual (mental health and addictions) disorders Position Requirements Employment type: Full‑time (not part‑time) Shift: Days Employment status: Non‑exempt Location: Macomb office Title: Behavioral Health Therapist About the Organization At North Central Behavioral Health Systems, we believe every child, adult and family deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
