Specialty Pharmacy Technician (Onsite) – Full-Time Opportunity | West Sacramento, CA
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy operations environment in West Sacramento, CA . Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $26.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Schedule may transition after 4 weeks to Sunday – Thursday:
- Sunday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekdays: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Overtime: Mandatory based on business needs
Work Environment
- 100% onsite role in a high-volume, production-based pharmacy setting
- Fast-paced environment requiring accuracy, consistency, and teamwork
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules based on system-generated instructions
- Replenish automated dispensing systems and ensure proper medication storage and handling
- Perform barcode scanning, data entry, and verification of lot and expiration details
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and assist in resolving discrepancies
- Prepare specialty and cold-chain prescriptions following strict handling guidelines
- Support packaging and shipping processes while maintaining patient privacy standards
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate operational issues as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician License (required)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy, retail, or customer service experience (excluding externships/training)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB National Certification
- Experience in a high-volume or production-based environment
