Location: Athens, Georgia

Start Date: 08-25-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, 8.5 hours per shift, scheduled based on facility needs

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and fall prevention strategies
Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately and timely

Qualifications

Current and active Physical Therapist license in Georgia (or license eligible)
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
Previous inpatient rehabilitation or hospital-based experience preferred
New graduates are welcome to apply - mentorship available

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of rehabilitation protocols and functional mobility training
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Time management and documentation skills
