Job Description
Title
Nurse - Correctional Nursing

Schedule
Shift: Evening 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (includes 30-minute meal break)
Weekends: Alternating weekends

Requirements
- Valid NY State nursing license (active registration)
- BLS certification

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within a secure juvenile facility.
- Manage medication administration and inventory control for medications, including controlled substances.
- Conduct clinical assessments and participate in the development and evaluation of nursing intervention plans.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with health protocols.
- Prepare and maintain clinical and administrative reports.
- Participate in staff training and collaborate on the multidisciplinary treatment team.

Compliance / Notes
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
- SSN and DOB required at submittal.
- Returning staff must be gone for 2 years from any state facility.
- RTO must be presented at the time of submittal.
