Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer

Akkodis is recruiting for a Sr Manufacturing Engineer for an aeropsace manufacturer in the St. George, UT area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $50 an hour to $60 an hour depending on education, experience and location. This role will support in driving operations through impeccable documentation for successful completion of high-quality hardware, also bear responsibility for the process’s creation supporting the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.

• Maintain effective communication on all aspects of the program among the project team to ensure all goals, tasks, and deliverables are understood clearly throughout the entire program.
• Oversees day to day floor activities, a strong leader in operations.
• Lead efforts in design for manufacturing, lean manufacturing practices.
• Support key decisions by working cross-functionally across departments to achieve program objectives.
• Lead the manufacturing activities through creative and clear processes that result in high quality hardware assembly, integration, and test.
• Designs tools and machines used to manufacture products.
• Reviews production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.
• Solid Works, AutoCAD or Solid Edge Experience preferred.
• working knowledge of GD&T, stack up tolerances, able to read and interrupt prints and schematics.

• Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing engineer or related field
• 5 years of experience working professionally in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, or an equivalent technical role
• 2 years’ experience in the aerospace industry
• Must be able to obtain a government clearance
