Key Responsibilities

• Revise and improve existing Python code and data operations to enhance efficiency and integration with STARLIMS LIMS.
• Develop, revise, and verify quality program standards based on EPA chemistry test methods.
• Review accuracy, reproducibility, and analytical data to validate laboratory test results.
• Review and assess new or modified programs, documentation, and specifications to ensure they meet user requirements and established guidelines.
• Recommend program improvements or corrections to developers and technical teams.
• Identify differences between established standards and user applications and recommend appropriate modifications.
• Review chemistry procedures to identify deviations from published analytical methods.
• Evaluate chemical inventory systems and laboratory operational processes.
• Validate Excel spreadsheets used for analytical calculations.
• Review annual competency assessments for approximately 25 chemists across roughly 60 analytical methods.
