Maintenance Planner

Kelly is hiring a Maintenance Planner for a 12-month contract role with one of our prestigious clients based out in 2601 Irving St. West Orange TX 77630. Job Title: Maintenance Planner Location: 2601 Irving St. West Orange TX 77630 Schedule: 4/10 Schedule Employment Type: 12‑month contract assignment Pay range: $50–55/hr. Summary Creates job packages from the work order scope which contains all of the information regarding required labor, material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and or specialized technical expertise within an analytical scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. May act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others. Responsibilities Duties Uses feedback from the person doing the work to optimize the work plans. Strong mechanical maintenance background; experience working on the equipment, understands taking equipment out of service / back in service. Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to the gatekeeper, if not complete. Carries out field checks, when needed. Prepares job package and inputs plan into Global Engineering and Maintenance Tracking System (GEMTS) indicating the required resources, materials, and services. Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan and identifies materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks. Identifies solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks. Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment. Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review, as needed. Creates, develops, changes, updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates Procedure Management of Change (MOC), as required. Experience Associate’s degree (Short-Cycle Tertiary) in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or related areas. This is a true Maintenance Planner role, no I&E necessary. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent number of years of hands‑on experience is required.
