Role Description

The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including routine checkups, chronic disease management, preventive care, and acute visits. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals to specialists. The physician will manage urgent care needs that present in the clinic, support patient education on health maintenance, and document all encounters in the medical record in accordance with regulatory and clinic standards. The role involves close collaboration with nursing and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. This is a contract, on-site role located in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Primary Care and Family Medicine to provide comprehensive, longitudinal care for patients across the lifespan.
• Strong foundation in Medicine, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and evidence-based clinical decision-making.
• Ability to manage Urgent Care presentations within an outpatient setting, including assessment and stabilization of common acute conditions.
• Experience or demonstrated commitment to Community Health, serving diverse populations and addressing social determinants of health.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of California and active DEA registration.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and team members.
• Commitment to culturally sensitive care, patient safety, and adherence to clinical and ethical standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and ability to document clearly and efficiently.
