Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Material Handler located in Novi, MI. Responsibilities of the Material Handler include ensuring that materials, components, and finished goods flow smoothly through every stage of the production and fulfillment process. This position bridges the gap between purchasing, assembly, and shipping, helping the company maintain accuracy, efficiency, and quality from the moment materials arrive to the time products reach our customers. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and accountability. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to supporting a production environment that values precision and teamwork.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Proficient with inventory systems, scanners, and basic computer applications
• Receive, verify, and document incoming materials and components for accuracy and quality.
• Organize and maintain material storage areas to ensure efficient access and clear labeling.
• Deliver materials to assembly and production areas to support daily build schedules.
• Prepare, package, and stage finished products for shipment to customers or distributors, and assist with light manufacturing or assembly work as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Communicate material needs, shortages, and updates
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace consistent with standards.
• Support continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration across operations.
• Verify materials and components against engineering requirements and contain any nonconforming goods pending review and disposition.

Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling preferred.
• Basic computer skills. Experience with inventory systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team setting

Available Shifts:

• Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break
• $17 per hour.
