Secure Net Alliance is seeking a dependable and observant Overnight Security Officer for a residential community. This is an active walking patrol position. Officers must remain visible, conduct consistent patrols, and professionally assist residents while protecting the property.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout the residential community.
• Complete detailed and accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs).
• Scan all assigned Detex checkpoints during each scheduled patrol.
• Inspect designated vacant units for unauthorized entry, transient activity, damage, or other security concerns.
• Secure and lock pool and amenity areas at the designated times.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, parking areas, stairwells, walkways, and other assigned locations.
• Answer property-related calls received on the security phone.
• Respond professionally to resident concerns, noise complaints, suspicious activity, and other security-related calls.
• Observe and report suspicious persons, vehicles, behavior, safety hazards, and possible criminal activity.
• Document and report graffiti, vandalism, damaged doors or gates, lighting outages, water leaks, and other maintenance concerns.
• Immediately report emergencies and serious incidents to 911, property management, and the on-duty supervisor as required.
• Complete incident reports with accurate times, locations, descriptions, photographs, and actions taken.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and promptly report unusual or significant activity.
• Assist with enforcing community rules and property policies through professional observation, documentation, and reporting.
• Maintain resident privacy and keep all property-related information confidential.
• Remain alert, visible, and attentive throughout the entire shift.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid California Guard Card.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to work the full 10:00 PM–6:00 AM shift, including assigned weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
• Must be able to use a smartphone, security phone, Detex device, and mobile reporting applications.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and use good judgment during emergencies or confrontational situations.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Previous residential, apartment-community, or overnight security experience is preferred.

Important: This is not a stationary post. Officers are expected to conduct frequent foot patrols throughout the property and complete all required checkpoints and inspections during every shift.
