Role SummaryThe Quality Technician 2 is responsible for performing comprehensive quality checks and tests on units, materials, and products throughout the production process to ensure they meet established quality, safety, and reliability standards. This role involves both in-process and final inspections, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold product quality and compliance.Job DetailsPosition Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly)Pay Range: $19.00- $22 per hour (depending on skills and experience)Work Location: Onsite - Mooresville, North Carolina 28115Shift: 1, 5:45am - 2:00pmKey ResponsibilitiesInspect finished and in-process goods to verify compliance with work instructions, specifications, and quality standardsPerform first-piece inspections to ensure initial units produced meet quality control criteriaConduct visual, mechanical, and functional tests on products using appropriate tools and gaging instrumentsAccurately record inspection results and relevant statistical dataInput data into quality management systems and assist in generating reports to track production quality and performance trendsSummarize inspection data and document findings to highlight deviations from established standardsAssist in the development, writing, and updating of inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists to reflect best practicesAnalyze inspection data to identify root causes of defects or non-conformance and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actionsSupport continuous improvement efforts by suggesting methods to enhance quality, efficiency, and product reliabilityPerform internal audits to verify that quality standards, processes, and procedures are consistently followedEnsure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
