Summary:
A Painter, VPC under the leadership of the Manager and the Foreperson, Body Shop, VPC will support the process to satisfy new and current customer demands for vehicles by providing the vehicles to dealers and customers that meet their demands. A Painter will 1) repaint damaged new vehicles to factory standard quality and 2) guide assigned painter's helpers to prepare vehicles for painting in the body shop in the VPC of GST. Essential Responsibilities : 1. Repaint assigned vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure it is properly prepared for repainting or two-tone painting
• Prepare paint.
• Repaint vehicles to factory standards inside safe paint booths.
• Check completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Report all mismatches and paint defects to management. 2. Maintain and properly safeguard all shop painting tools and equipment. 3. Work safely.
• Comply with all safety rules particularly those dealing with working in confined spaces or in service pits.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe storage room, mixing room, and working area.
• Use shop equipment and tools safely.
• Wear required personal protective equipment: breathing apparatus, clothing, footwear, gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc.
• Dispose of paints, paint containers, and any hazardous wastes properly. 4. Report all accidents immediately. 5. Assist other associates as needed and/or directed by management.

Is able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets for products used in processing. 5. Is able to communicate effectively - orally and in writing. 6. Understand Body Shop productivity measurements. Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations*:
Has valid driver's license. Is legally able to work in the United States. Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk; hear; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The associate frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential responsibilities of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Associate may work in a closed paint booth with high ambient temperatures. Additional Information:
