Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Travere as we continue to grow in support of our commitment to identify, develop, and deliver life-changing therapies to people living with rare disease. During Travere Therapeutics' 11-week Early Career Talent Internship Program, beginning June 7, 2027, the intern will work in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite and 3 days virtually per week) and gain mentorship and cross-functional exposure while contributing to team objectives.

The Patient Access Intern will support key initiatives and work on a project designed to improve the patient experience and facilitate timely access to FILSPARI. Through project-based work, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to pharmaceutical patient access, healthcare operations, data analytics, payer and reimbursement dynamics, and patient support programs.

At the conclusion of the program, the intern will have an opportunity to deliver a final presentation summarizing project work, key findings, contributions, key learnings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct data research and analysis to support Patient Access business questions and operational priorities.
• Assist with process-improvement projects designed to strengthen operational efficiency and the patient experience.
• Support development and refinement of operational resources, documentation, and tools used by the Patient Access organization.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives involving Patient Access and relevant partners across the organization.
• Learn how payer, reimbursement, and patient support programs influence access to therapy for people living with rare diseases.
• Translate findings into clear observations and practical recommendations that support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing project contributions, findings, recommendations, and key learnings.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in business, healthcare administration, public health, health policy, analytics, economics, finance, life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field.
• Must have at least one academic term remaining after completion of the internship (e.g., semester, quarter).
• Coursework or project experience involving healthcare, data analysis, operations, or process improvement is preferred.

Additional Skills/Experience:

• Interest in patient access, healthcare operations, reimbursement, rare disease, and the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical, research, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with data visualization, business intelligence, or other analytical tools is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and approach work with empathy, curiosity, and a patient-focused mindset.
• All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Target Base Pay Range:

*$25 - 35 per hour
