X-Ray Tech

Scheduling Details and Charting

The position is for an X-Ray Tech with experience in the Operating Room (OR) and Fluoroscopic procedures.

• Shift Hours: 3x12 hour shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM, Friday through Sunday
• Epic Experience: Preferred
• On Call Requirement: Participation in on-call rotations with staff
• Request Time Off (RTO): All requests must be included upon submission
• Call Off Policy: The facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday shifts are required and based on unit needs
• Accept First-Time Travelers: No
• Locals Accepted: No, due to radius restriction
• Pending License Accepted: A Virginia state license is required; any active state license is accepted. Virginia will provide emergency authorization for travelers while awaiting their permanent license.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)

Required Clinical Skills

• Fluoroscopic experience
• Abdomen: Includes decubitus, supine (KUB), and upright views
• Upper Extremity: Includes AC joints, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, thumb/finger, trauma shoulder or humerus (scapular Y, transthoracic axial), and trauma upper extremity (non-shoulder) views, wrist
• Lower Extremity: Includes ankle, calcaneus, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, toes, and trauma lower extremity views
• Head/Chest: Chest AP, upper airway, facial bones, paranasal sinuses, and skull views
• Spine/Pelvis: Cervical, lumbar, thoracic spine, hip, pelvis, sacrum, and coccyx views
• Work Settings: Experience in adult acute care, outpatient, bedside/portable, emergency room, intensive care unit, pediatric, pediatric intensive care unit, and operating room

Unit Information

• Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
