Job Description

There's the usual MGA Program Lead roles, then there is this one! Comp structure up to $300k + equity for you to become Head of Underwriting for your own program, joining a firm who have a serious track record of building credible, high performing underwriting teams.

You've built profitable portfolios at large carriers.

You've developed broker relationships.

You've helped grow someone else's business and be given a fairly modest bonus for your efforts.

The question is...

When do you start building your own? Still with a strong compensation plan, but some ownership and timescales when you can take cash off the table.

We're partnering with a privately-owned, award winning and very well established specialty MGA looking for proven underwriting leaders who want more ownership, more influence and a genuine share in the value they create.

Not stock options that may never mean anything.

This is joining an MGA with an already successful platform in the US, UK and wider Europe.

This is for underwriters who know how to create profitable growth and are ready to have a bigger stake in the outcome.

Who we're interested in

Typically, you'll have:

Around 15 plus years' underwriting experience

Existing MGA experience or have been a production led role and have tangible distribution

A track record of profitable growth

Strong distribution relationships

A clear understanding of your portfolio performance and loss ratios

On offer will be a salary up to $300,000 plus bonus/profit share, intentions to grow a $50million plus business in 3-5 years time with a target 50% or better loss ratio.
