Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or relevant subject area (science, ELA, or music)
• State teaching certification for the applicable subject(s)
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience at the middle school level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to foster curiosity, engagement, and achievement among diverse student groups
• Experience with curriculum planning and targeted instructional strategies
• A collaborative spirit and adaptability within a school community

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lessons for science (including electives like robotics), ELA, or music/band, aligning with state and school standards
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet evolving needs
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collegial planning sessions
• Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress with families
• Incorporate a variety of teaching resources and technology to enhance learning
• Supervise classroom activities; take part in duties and extracurricular programming as needed
