Key Responsibilities

• Treatment Support & Planning:
  Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the direction of a supervising SLP. Create and adapt therapy materials for both verbal and non-verbal students, including AAC supports, visual schedules, and communication boards.
• Direct Student Services:
  Provide engaging, student-centered speech-language therapy sessions tailored to varying functional levels and communication needs.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  Partner with teachers, families, and care teams to reinforce strategies and promote student success inside and outside the classroom.
• Data Collection & Documentation:
  Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, therapy sessions, and goal tracking in alignment with district and compliance standards.
• Schedule Alignment:
  For school-based roles, time off is typically aligned with school breaks to support consistent student services.

Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathology Assistant license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background and fingerprint clearance
• TB clearance (as required)
• Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a school environment with moderate noise levels
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the day
• Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodations)
• Exposure to typical classroom environmental elements (dust, pollen, etc.)
