Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Days)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days (0700, 1000, 1100, or 1200), with every other weekend required.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The unit has 15 beds and includes 10 acute beds. The RN will be required to manage various patient types due to a lower patient volume in the ED. The ideal candidate should be self-sufficient and ready to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Multitask effectively and manage various patient needs.
• Maintain valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical surgical experience required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Room.
• Experience in Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) is a must.
• Currently licensed and registered in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Covid vaccination preferred; exemptions accepted.
