Litigation Legal Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our talented litigation team. This is a full-time in office role based in Atlanta, GA. As a Legal Assistant at Thomas Horstemeyer, you’ll play an essential role in supporting groundbreaking legal work in the world of intellectual property. You’ll work closely with attorneys and other IP professionals with the preparation, filing, and management of litigation matters.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive legal success: Assist attorneys in preparing, filing, and managing legal documents for state and federal court litigation
• Make a tangible impact : Monitor court dockets and litigation calendars to keep track and ensure critical deadlines are met
• Work on high-profile cases: Assist attorneys in managing complex litigation matters from inception through final disposition and appeal
• Deliver client value : Draft client correspondence, organize exhibits, and assist in preparing summaries, reports, and deposition notebooks

What We’re Looking For:

• 2-3 years’ experience as a legal assistant in a law firm
• Knowledge of Federal and State court filings
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with our team and clients.
• Previous experience in a legal setting, particularly in the field of intellectual property, is highly desirable
