Client Administration Analyst

Description Columbia Management, an Ameriprise Financial company, is seeking a Client & Account Administration Analyst. The position is accountable to perform daily activities for separately managed retail client accounts – onboarding, maintenance, and termination events. Gather and validate data from multiple internal and external sources, evaluate and determine if the data is accurate, and then produce the final deliverable such as a successfully onboarded new client account. Accountable for issue identification, root cause analysis, and recommending and executing viable solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage the onboarding process for multiple account types, ensuring necessary documentation is collected, verified, and processed in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding for the client. Ensure onboarding processes adhere to company policies/procedures to mitigate risk. Manage ongoing account maintenance, including updates to client accounts. Notify internal and external stakeholders of the changes and track the changes to completion. Manage the terminations for client accounts and ensure accurate closure of the accounts. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures are met while handling and processing the account closure. Provide subject matter expertise, effectively communicating across multiple audiences. Develop an understanding of impacted upstream and downstream processes. Complete cross training and backup responsibilities. Complete retention of records, work, and other information, following established procedures and policies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 1‑3 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Strong oral and written communication skills. Solid understanding of onboarding processes and steps. Able to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple priorities. Ability to work with limited work direction and function effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Client Onboarding experience. Knowledge of Separately Managed Accounts. Base Pay Salary The estimated base salary for this role is $52,500 – $92,100 per year. We have a pay‑for‑performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic work location.
