Chief of Staff to the CEO | NYC or DC Metro A fast-growing, private equity-backed healthcare technology company — the infrastructure layer connecting payers, providers, caregivers, and government programs across one of the fastest-growing segments of the U.S. healthcare system — is conducting a confidential search for a Chief of Staff to the CEO. We are open to candidates located in either the NYC or Washington, DC metro areas. The Role This is not an administrative or calendar-management seat, and it’s not a governance-heavy process role either. We’re looking for a high-motor strategic operator who can take ideas directly from the CEO, structure them, build the executive and board-level materials behind them, and drive them to closure. You’ll own AI enablement for the executive office, executive communications, board material development, and strategic-initiative follow-through, and support M&A work alongside the CFO. Responsibilities Own the board narrative and executive summary each cycle — content plan, section owners, drafting, numbers tie-out, and distribution ahead of board meetings Maintain the company’s canonical strategy document as the single source of truth for the CEO, executive team, sponsor, and board, translating it per audience Set and run the executive cadence — agendas built from decisions needed rather than status, pre-reads circulated in advance, decisions captured and published Drive organizational discipline and follow-through on strategic initiatives — track commitments to closure and hold owners accountable without taking initiatives away from their owners Audit CEO and CFO workflows and sequence where AI lands first (board reporting, KPI packs, diligence reading, market scans, drafting), shipping working solutions rather than recommendations Own guardrails with Legal and Security for any AI tooling deployed in the executive office — data-handling boundaries, regulatory constraints, hallucination risk, and human review before anything reaches a board or investor Support M&A activity: maintain the target landscape and thesis-fit screen, prepare the CEO for management meetings, and coordinate diligence workstreams Build and enforce a standard investment-case template with the CFO — sized opportunity, assumptions, returns math, downside case, and decision ask — and partner on annual capital allocation What We’re Looking For Must Have: Based in New York City or the DC metro area, with the ability to be co-located with the CEO several days a week High motor and visible drive — moves fast on ambiguous problems and pushes work to closure without being managed step by step Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders — has operated in or alongside a CEO/executive leadership team environment A genuine blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution Practical AI literacy — has used AI tools to produce real work product, not just talked about AI strategy Excellent written communication, capable of producing executive-ready materials with minimal editing Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus, not required Strong Preference: Background in Strategy & Operations, Corporate Development, Product Strategy, Business Operations, Transformation, or an existing Office of the CEO role Existing Chief of Staff experience welcome, but not weighted above the criteria above Healthcare or vertical SaaS background, ideally software sold into a regulated industry #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
