Medical Assistant Per Diem - Organ Transplant - Green Hospital This is a non-benefited, per diem/casual position with 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no weekend, evening, or holiday requirements. The Ideal Candidate & What You'll Do: Experienced and comfortable in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, shots, and staple removals. Eager to grow their skills as a Medical Assistant and provide exceptional patient care. Function in a high volume clinic that sees 45-60 patients per day, supporting 8 Providers. Primary responsibilities include assisting with procedures, rooming patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to our patients over the phone for call backs and instructions. Qualifications: Requirements: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Experience: One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting preferred Experience in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals
