Responsibilities

• Assist dentist with chairside clinical procedures (scaling, polishing, retraction, suctioning, instrument passing)
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments following CDC and California infection control protocols
• Take and develop intraoral and extraoral X-rays using digital equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care; support anxiety management
• Manage patient intake, scheduling, and basic front-desk support as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical and treatment records
• Support community health initiatives and patient relationship building

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential
• 1+ years of experience in a general dentistry practice
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills and genuine commitment to patient comfort and care
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to procedural changes
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
