Job Details

Bistro Romano, 120 Lombard Street, Society Hill, is a Philadelphia favorite for 38 years, renowned for upscale regional Italian cuisine, in the Granary Dining Room, Bistro Bar, Private 120 Dining Room and Wine Shoppe. We maintain a clean environment, are team-oriented and treat staff well. We are looking for servers to join our team and help us create exceptional memories for our guests. We are open at 4:45P Wednesday-Sunday, last seating is 9P. Earliest shifts begin at 3P and end at 11:30P, approximately. Last seating may be extended on VDAY, NYE and other peak days if needed.

Our servers are the backbone of our business. We are looking for an experienced servers to join our team who like people, has keen attention to detail, and likes being busy. You must be reliable, timely, friendly and be able to provide responsive service to create an exceptional experience for our guests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opening/Closing side work tasks

- Ownership of your assigned section

- Prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests

- Menu knowledge, successful testing on same

- Ascertain from guests any dietary restrictions or food allergies and relating same to Chef

- Entering orders and required preparation in POS

- Working as a team with other servers, bartenders, and support staff to ensure steps of service are met

- Notifying manager of any delays, guest dissatisfaction, or other potential negative impressions

- Creating memorable experience to build repeat business

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Flexible availability

- Dedicated work ethic

- Ability to work efficiently for 6-8 hours on your feet

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

- Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

- Polite and calm under pressure

- RAMP certification
