Cardiology Physician

Position Summary The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek non‑invasive cardiologists for faculty positions in Parkersburg, WV. Ranks available are Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also service additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. Travel to these sites is expected. Qualifications Candidate must have an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license. Candidates must be board certified in internal medicine and either board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease. Additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and/or MRI is required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Responsibilities Provide excellent patient care and actively teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
