Position Summary We're looking for a Sushi Cook to join our sushi bar team. This role is ideal for someone with solid sushi-making skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment but is not looking for a lead or supervisory position. You'll support the sushi chefs by preparing rolls, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth service throughout the shift.

Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi according to Flying Fish recipes and standards
- Assist with daily prep including cutting fish, preparing rice, and stocking ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe sushi station
- Ensure freshness, proper storage, and rotation of all sushi ingredients
- Communicate with sushi chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to keep service running smoothly
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable interaction with guests when needed
- Uphold Flying Fish standards for presentation, consistency, and hospitality
- Previous experience preparing sushi in a restaurant setting
- Strong knife skills and understanding of sushi preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior sushi chefs
