The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operation of the companys warehouse and distribution activities. This position oversees all receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and delivery functions to ensure materials and finished goods are handled accurately, efficiently, and safely.

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimizing warehouse space, coordinating the timely movement of raw materials and finished goods, and ensuring the production facility has the necessary materials available to operate efficiently. This position also provides leadership and direction to warehouse personnel and ensures compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Salary: $60,000 - $65, 000

Essential FunctionsWarehouse Operations & Leadership

Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory movement, order fulfillment, shipping, and delivery activities.

Supervise, train, schedule, and provide direction to warehouse employees to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.

Establish and maintain organized warehouse procedures, processes, and standards.

Assign daily responsibilities and prioritize work based on production, shipping, and company needs.

Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, secure, and maintained in a manner that promotes safety and efficiency.

Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse operational issues and resolve problems promptly.

Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Management to ensure operational needs are met.

Inventory Management & Control

Coordinate with the supply chain team regarding inventory levels, material requirements, and warehouse space utilization.

Maintain accurate physical inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, supplies, and other warehouse assets.

Prepare the warehouse and conduct weekly cycle counts and other physical inventory counts as directed.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and communicate material variances to Management.

Ensure all inventory is properly identified, labeled, stored, and accounted for.

Monitor inventory movement to minimize loss, damage, shortages, and obsolete or excess inventory.

Ensure inventory is rotated and stored according to company procedures and product requirements.

Assist with periodic physical inventories and audits as needed.

Receiving

Coordinate and manage the receipt of incoming materials, products, equipment, and supplies.

Verify the quantity, condition, and accuracy of all received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, or other documentation.

Identify and report shortages, damages, incorrect shipments, and other receiving discrepancies.

Ensure all received materials are properly documented, labeled, and placed in the appropriate storage location.

Maintain accurate receiving records and ensure information is entered into the appropriate inventory or warehouse management systems.

Shipping & Logistics

Coordinate all outgoing shipments and deliveries to ensure products and materials are shipped accurately and on schedule.

Establish shipping schedules and coordinate delivery requirements with internal departments, customers, carriers, and other applicable parties.

Verify orders for accuracy prior to shipment, including quantities, products, packaging, and shipping documentation.

Ensure finished goods and materials are properly packaged, secured, labeled, and loaded for shipment.

Coordinate company deliveries when applicable.

Work with carriers and logistics providers to resolve shipping or delivery issues.

Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is complete and accurate.

Equipment & Company Assets

Ensure company-owned warehouse assets and equipment are properly maintained, serviced, and operated, including trucks, trailers, forklifts, pallet jacks, warehouse equipment, and other company property.

Maintain records of required inspections, maintenance, and servicing.

Report equipment failures, damage, or safety concerns to Management promptly.

Ensure warehouse equipment is operated only by properly trained and authorized employees.

Monitor the condition and security of company inventory and property.

Safety & Compliance

Promote and maintain a safe working environment throughout the warehouse and loading areas.

Ensure employees follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA and workplace safety requirements.

Ensure forklifts and other warehouse equipment are operated safely and appropriately.

Maintain clear and accessible aisles, exits, loading areas, and emergency access points.

Immediately report workplace injuries, accidents, property damage, unsafe conditions, or other safety concerns to Management.

Participate in safety training and ensure warehouse employees receive appropriate training for their assigned responsibilities.

Other Responsibilities

Execute warehouse duties and other hands-on operational responsibilities as necessary.

Assist with deliveries, loading and unloading, material movement, and other warehouse activities when needed.

Work closely with Production to ensure required raw materials and packaging are available when needed.

Support Management with special projects, process improvements, and other operational initiatives.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Supervisory Responsibility

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 35 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or inventory management experience; supervisory or management experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and logistics.

Forklift certification required or the ability to become certified within a reasonable period of time.

Proven ability to supervise, train, motivate, and hold warehouse employees accountable for performance.

Strong organizational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to accurately manage inventory and identify and resolve discrepancies.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently while also effectively collaborating with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Management.

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize inventory, shipping, and warehouse management systems.

Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Must demonstrate reliability, accountability, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.

Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, or extended hours when business needs require.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 60 pounds.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, push, pull, and lift.

Must be able to safely operate or work around forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, trailers, and other warehouse equipment.

Must be able to work in a warehouse and production environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, dust, and other typical warehouse conditions.

Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on management position and is expected to spend significant time in the warehouse and production environment overseeing operations and employees. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage changing priorities, and respond effectively to operational issues as they arise.

Supervisory Responsibility

• This position has direct supervisory responsibility for warehouse personnel and is responsible for providing daily direction, training, scheduling, performance management, and accountability for warehouse employees.
