Patient Registrar

Job Summary


Our client is seeking a Patient Registrar who will be responsible for completing pre-registration and obtaining insurance verification for all appointments. The role involves performing registration and scheduling tasks and assisting the department manager to ensure the efficient daily functioning of the Revenue Cycle process.


Key Responsibilities

• Pre-register patients and verify all patient demographic and financial information.
• Communicate with patients/families about registration requirements.
• Monitor queues, manage denials reports for Revenue Cycle Management.
• Verify insurance data using integrated SHCIS applications.
• Register and schedule/reschedule patients as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and comply with department guidelines.
• Assist the Revenue Cycle Manager with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree in Healthcare preferred.
• Less than 1 year of experience in scheduling, registration, and insurance verification required.
• Less than 1 year of experience with computer applications required.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information securely.

Additional Requirements


Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm. No travel required.
