Blending Operator

Role Purpose The Blending Operator plays a critical role in our blending operations at Sycamore, IL, ensuring safe and efficient production from raw materials to final packaged products. Responsibilities Execute production tasks in compliance with food safety, legal and quality requirements to guarantee product fitness for human consumption. Adhere to EHS policies and procedures, providing active participation in the safety program, including incident reporting, near‑miss reporting, audits and training. Operate machinery and equipment safely, maintaining accurate daily production records. Handle raw materials, moving, packing, sorting, and sifting, as well as packaging, shipping, and quality monitoring of finished products. Identify, discard, or re‑manufacture faulty products and report defects, hazards or failures in processes. Support lock‑tag‑out, confined‑space and hot‑work permits as necessary. Propose improvements to processes and systems to meet EHSQ, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness objectives. Provide assistance with facility inspections, environmental monitoring and spill containment. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience). Physical requirements: lift up to 50lbs. repeatedly, climb stairs, stand, bend, squat, and operate a forklift within 180days. Demonstrated knowledge of GMP and food‑safety policies, and basic understanding of EHSQS principles. Strong safety mindset, dependable, punctual, and capable of working a varying schedule. Mechanical awareness, problem‑solving skills, and effective communication. Ability to comply with EHS, quality, production, reliability, and leadership goals. Competencies Positive safety mindset, commitment to continuous improvement. Strong communication, self‑starting, and goal‑oriented. Ability to work collaboratively with plant teams.
