An individual that seeks to: Play Hard Care Deeply Grow Together Strive for Excellence Create Awesome Experiences Job Highlights Reports To: General Manager Location: Rocky River, OH Direct Reports: Tennis Staff / 1099 Tennis Coaches Hours & Availability: Flexible schedule based on program, lesson, clinic, and center needs, including evenings and weekends. Position Overview The Tennis Pro will develop personalized training experiences, lead lessons and group programming, manage tennis staff, drive program participation, and ensure the tennis environment is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. The role will also support overall center operations and serve as a Manager on Duty when scheduled. Role Scope & Responsibilities Tennis Instruction & Player Development - 30%

• Teach private and group tennis lessons to players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners through advanced competitors.
• Demonstrate and teach proper tennis techniques, including forehand, backhand, serve, volley, footwork, and game strategy.
• Design personalized training plans, drills, and fitness programs based on player goals, skill level, and age.
• Assess player performance and provide constructive, actionable feedback to support continued development.
• Track and document player progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.

Tennis Program Growth & Development - 25%

• Promote, grow, and develop the tennis program to increase participation, engagement, and retention.
• Design, develop, and implement new tennis programs, clinics, camps, workshops, and specialized training opportunities.
• Lead youth camps, clinics, social mixers, exhibition matches, and other tennis programming.
• Plan, organize, and manage tennis tournaments and special events.
• Support marketing and promotional efforts to attract new players, members, and guests.
• Build relationships within the local tennis community and participate in community outreach initiatives.

Tennis Staff & Coaching Management - 15%

• Manage and support 1099 tennis professionals and tennis staff.
• Coordinate coaching schedules, lesson availability, program coverage, and staff assignments.
• Communicate expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to tennis staff.
• Help ensure tennis staff consistently deliver high-quality instruction and exceptional guest experiences.
• Support the onboarding and development of new tennis coaches.

Guest & Member Experience - 15%

• Communicate with guests, clients, and members to understand their needs and recommend appropriate tennis programs and services.
• Manage lesson and program bookings while maintaining accurate schedules and availability.
• Utilize booking and center management systems to manage lessons, programs, attendance, and customer information.
• Build strong relationships with players and members to encourage continued participation and engagement.
• Respond to questions, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Court, Equipment & Safety Management - 10%

• Inspect tennis courts and equipment to ensure safe, clean, and appropriate playing conditions.
• Maintain tennis courts and identify or report maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Ensure tennis equipment is properly maintained and available for lessons and programming.
• Enforce club safety rules and ensure emergency procedures are followed on court.
• Maintain accurate records related to court conditions, equipment, attendance, and program operations.

Center Operations & Administrative Support - 5%

• Serve as Manager on Duty and support overall center operations when scheduled.
• Assist with opening, closing, guest service, and operational responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, player progress, schedules, and program activity.
• Partner with center leadership to support business objectives and deliver an exceptional overall center experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a tennis professional, tennis coach, or instructor.
• Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals, technique, strategy, and player development.
• Experience teaching players across a range of ages and skill levels.
• Experience developing and leading tennis programs, clinics, camps, or tournaments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with players, members, families, and staff.
• Experience managing or mentoring coaches or other staff preferred.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Comfortable using scheduling, booking, and other technology-based systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and professional playing environment.
• Tennis certification or professional coaching credentials preferred.
