Restaurant Maintenance TechnicianAt Toot 'n Totum, we 're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.The Restaurant Maintenance Technician responsible for the ongoing repair and maintenance of all Wendy's and Which Wich restaurants. Duties include, but are not limited to cosmetic repair, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and on-demand service calls.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for overall repair & maintenance of all Wendy's and Which Wich restaurants.Performs cosmetic repairs such as tile work, painting, etc.Performs preventative maintenance on kitchen cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systemsResponds to on-demand service requests for cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systemsMaintains working knowledge of electrical & plumbing systemsOversees external service providers when dispatchedRecords maintenance and repair work via internal maintenance ticketing systemSupports and facilitates organizational changes, continuous improvement, and communicationEmbodies personal leadership qualities through the following: Be in the moment to ensure authentic and humanistic interactions. Be curious in interactions, has courageous conversations with others when needed, and takes personal accountabilities for all responsibilities.Demonstrates and embodies the following company values throughout the course of employment: 1) Guest Ready, 2) Honor & Value, 3) Quick, Clean & Convenient, 4) Ownership, 5) Team-Focused.Possesses a service mindset; strives to achieve experiences worth repeating.Participates in and follows all Toot'n Totum policies, guidelines, and procedures (Safety, Anti-Harassment, Ethics, etc.).Performs other duties as assigned, including overall repair & maintenance for other divisions (convenience store, car wash, lube centers, etc.).Required Skills & Abilities:Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handlingHVAC Certification with experience in commercial HVAC/Refrigeration MaintenancePossess a valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving recordExcellent Communication to restaurant management team(s), District Managers, and Director of OperationsEffective critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; strong business acumen and curiosityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent conflict resolution skills: strong self-concept and ability to make decisionsExcellent organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detailRequires rapid and thorough decision making and creative problem-solving skills, good judgment as well as the ability to accept personal accountability for areas of responsibilityActs with integrity and professionalismExperience with MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred.Ability to travel to and from various sites outside of local dailyEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience in HVAC repairs and preventative maintenanceExperience in refrigeration repairs and preventative maintenanceExperience in plumbing repairs a plusExperience in cosmetic repairs a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, and drive.Lifting Requirements: Lift up to 50lbs daily and 50-100lbs on occasion.Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment, verbal instructions, and machinery.Cognitive Requirements: Basic reading, writing and math skills.
