Direct Support Professional - Intern Provide direct support to individuals served, assisting with personal care activities, fostering independence, and contributing to their overall well-being in a safe and engaging environment. Responsibilities Deliver personalized care and support aligned with individual Plans of Care. Assist participants with personal care needs such as dining, toileting, mobility, and transfers. Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to implement positive behavioral supports. Plan and implement engaging and age‑appropriate group and individual activities. Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy program environment. Transport participants as assigned, including stepping in to drive when needed. Foster growth and independence by teaching skills, encouraging choices, and respecting individuality. Maintain participant privacy, dignity, and cultural appropriateness in all interactions. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma/GED/HiSET required. Standard driver’s license (Class C or D). Entry Level position - no experience encouraged to apply! Skills & Knowledge Activity planning and recreational skills. Health and safety protocols to ensure participant well‑being. Assistance with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility. Team collaboration and strong communication skills.
